Bronnie is the advocacy and team logistics ranger. She’s often behind a computer answering emails and manning the facebook page or otherwise buried in a pile of boxes, tape and fluffy kākāpō as she organises all the adoption packages to go out. She’s also often talking to students, teachers and the media helping to make sure the kākāpō story is told.

When she’s not arms deep in soft toys and pretty pictures she’s busy helping out the rest of the team, helping to make sure everything runs smoothly. This involves everything from writing up minutes, and paying the bills to sorting out samples and accompanying kākāpō during transfers.

Having only joined the team just prior to the 2015/2016 breeding season Bronnie jumped straight into the deep end of working for Kākāpō Recovery. She loves the occasions she gets out in the field and her highlight so far has been learning to care for the hand reared chicks and getting to show them to school groups and the general public.
