Bronnie is the logistics ranger for the team. She’s responsible for making sure that the right people and items end up in the right places! When not busy co-ordinating with the rangers on the islands she can usually be found helping out the rest of the office based team to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

While she’s mainly Invercargill based, that doesn’t mean she’s desk bound! Bronnie is often out of the office collecting gear, talking to suppliers and loading aircraft. She’s usually the first person on the team that volunteers and visitors meet as she’s responsible for quarantining the majority of the gear that goes to the islands and ensuring all bio-control rules are followed.

Having only joined the team just prior to the 2015/2016 breeding season Bronnie jumped straight into the deep end of working for Kākāpō Recovery. She loves the occasions she gets out in the field and her highlight so far has been learning to care for the hand reared chicks and getting to show them to school groups and the general public.
